A. THEORY: I/ VOCABULARY: From Unit 7 – 11 II/ GRAMMAR:

1/ Reported speech (Câu tường thuật) Câu tường thuật: Câu hỏi Yes/No (Reported Speech: Yes/No Questions):

• Cấu trúc: S + asked (+ O) + if / whether + S + V (lùi thì) • Quy tắc: Không dùng trợ động từ (do/does/did), không dùng dấu chấm hỏi, và phải đổi ngôi + lùi thì + đổi trạng từ chỉ thời gian/nơi chốn. • Ví dụ: "Do you like visiting Ha Long Bay?" he asked. → He asked me if/whether I liked visiting Ha Long Bay. 2/ Relative pronouns ( Đại từ quan hệ) • Who: Dùng cho người, đóng vai trò chủ ngữ. • Which: Dùng cho vật, đóng vai trò chủ ngữ hoặc tân ngữ. • That: Dùng cho cả người và vật trong mệnh đề xác định (không dùng sau dấu phẩy). • Whose: Dùng để chỉ sở hữu cho người hoặc vật. • Ví dụ: The man who lives next door has a very healthy lifestyle. 3/ Relative clauses ( Mệnh đề quan hệ) Mệnh đề quan hệ xác định và không xác định (Relative Clauses):

• Defining (Xác định): Cần thiết cho nghĩa của câu, không có dấu phẩy. • Non-defining (Không xác định): Bổ sung thông tin, ngăn cách bằng dấu phẩy, không dùng "that". • Ví dụ: English, which is an international language, is spoken worldwide. 4/ Suggest/ advise/ recommend + V-ing…. Suggest/advise/recommend + (that) + S + (should) + V(B.I) Cấu trúc 1: V-ing (Dùng khi không đề cập đối tượng cụ thể hoặc người nói cũng tham gia vào hành động) S+ suggest/ advise/ recommend + V-ing…. Ví dụ: My teacher recommended using an e-dictionary to learn English. Cấu trúc 2: Mệnh đề với "Should" (Dùng để khuyên bảo một đối tượng cụ thể)

S+ suggest/advise/recommend + (that) + S + (should) + V(B.I) Ví dụ: The manual suggests that we (should) charge the battery for 8 hours. Lưu ý: Trong tiếng Anh hiện đại, từ "should" thường được lược bỏ, nhưng động từ phía sau vẫn giữ nguyên mẫu không chia (subjunctive mood). B. PRACTICE I.
