Game – Celebration Recognition -T prepares a tape with 5 pieces of songs: 1. Happy New Year  New Year’s Celebration 2. Jingle Bells  Christmas 3. Chiec Den Ong Sao  Mid – Autumn Festival 4. Happy Birthday  Birthday’s Celebration 5. Wedding March  Wedding’s Celebration -T divides the class into 2 teams. T asks Ss to listen to each piece of song once and tell the occasion when this song is played. -The team has the faster and correct answer will be given 1 mark. The winner is the group having more marks. -T lets Ss play the game

Pre – reading

(10 minutes)

-T asks Ss to work in pairs, discussing the questions to describe the picture in the textbook. 1. What time of the year is it? 2. What are the people in the picture doing? 3. What else do you see in the picture? -T asks Ss to work in pairs and choose the activities they enjoy doing most at Tet. -T encourage Ss to add more activities. -T introduces the lesson. -T elicits or pre-teaches some new words. Task 2 – True / Fase statements -T asks Ss to work in pairs and do Task 2. -T asks Ss to go back to the passage and find the correct answers. -T tells Ss to compare their answers with each other. -T calls on some Ss to present and explain their answers in front of the class. -T gives feedback and correct answers.
