2. Adjectives and adverbs
Adjectives describe nouns.
Position: before N, after “to be”, after adverbs
It’s a big pig
He is a careful driver
Adverbs describe verbs.
Position: after Verbs, before Adjectives
She ran quickly
He drives too fast
Note:
To form regular adverbs, add “-ly” to the adjective.
Words ending in “–y” change to “-ily”
