VISUAL STORIES
Work in groups. Write a visual story of a person's life. This could be a historical figure or someone you know and admire. Do some research on their life or interview them.
You can draw pictures to illustrate key events in his/her life.
You can do that on a poster, on presentation slides, or in a short comic book.
Present your visual story to the class. Use these questions as cues.
a) Who is your story about?
b) What are the key events in his/her life?
c) What are his/her achievements?
d) What do you think of his/her life and achievements?

a) Who is your story about?

Our story is about Nick Vujicic, an Australian motivational speaker and writer who was born without arms and legs. We admire him because he has turned his disability into a source of strength and hope for millions of people.

b) What are the key events in his/her life?

- In 1982, he was born in Melbourne with a rare condition, tetra-amelia syndrome.
- During his childhood, he suffered from bullying and depression, but he gradually learned to live independently.
- In 2005, he established a non-profit organisation called *Life Without Limbs*.
- In 2012, he got married and later started a family of his own.

c) What are his/her achievements?

He has become a world-famous motivational speaker who has travelled to dozens of countries and given talks to millions of people. He has also written several best-selling books, such as *Life Without Limits*, and founded an organisation that helps people who feel hopeless. Above all, he has shown that a person can live a full and meaningful life despite great physical challenges.

d) What do you think of his/her life and achievements?

In our opinion, Nick Vujicic's life is truly inspiring and admirable. Although he was born with severe difficulties, he never gave up. His courage, optimism and determination teach us that we should be grateful for what we have and should never let obstacles stop us from following our dreams. We believe his story encourages everyone to face difficulties with a positive attitude.
